We discussed the Content Aware Fill Tool in our previous articles while we elaborated on new features of CS5. Adobe has enhanced this feature and come up with the Content Aware Move Tool in CS6. Removing freckles

Want to remove freckles from your image? Here is the quickest method to do so in Photoshop. After opening your file, change the image mode to CMYK mode and choose the channel layer in which freckles are more visible. Like in example below, freckles were most visible in yellow channel layer. Copy that channel layer and change the image mode back to RGB mode. Now, paste it on the new layer above the existing layer in the layer palette. Inverse the image mode, select overlay / soft overlay blending option and decrease the opacity level to around 30 – 40%. Manual Brushwork to maintain loose hairs

                    Image Source: Roularta Often alpha masking can’t help us maintain the loose hairs while cutting out the image like one shown above. This is where the manual brushwork comes handy. With the help of pen tool, you can easily create the shape of the artificial hair and define it as a brush using EDIT > Define Brush option. Content aware fill makes image retouching even easier

Image Source: Karin Hendriks Gone are the days when we have to manually use spot healing brush to retouch the unnecessary objects or parts from the image. Photoshop CS5 has eased us with the new – Content aware fill option. You can see above the logos in the apples that are removed in the final image. Seems tedious process to get the final output but it’s just the matter of few clicks. All you need to do is select the area which needs to be retouched, using any selection tool.
